More than 42 million people visit Las Vegas every year, with the average stay between three and four nights.

With so many things to see and do in the city, that may not seem like a vast amount of time. But life moves at 100mph in Las Vegas, and you’ll definitely make the most of those few days.

When someone first mentions the word ‘Vegas’, most people probably immediately think of the casinos…and granted, the casinos are vast. But, there’s so much more to the city than the poker and roulette tables.

There’s The Mob Museum, Cirque du Soleil, and of course, the annual Life Is Beautiful festival.

Let’s party: What is the best destination in the world to have fun?

The Mob Museum – or the National Museum of Organised Crime & Law Enforcement – is an absolute must for any out-of-towners.

It’s the perfect way to start your trip by discovering all of Las Vegas’ fascinating history, as well as that of the rest of the US.

If you have time, be sure to head downstairs to the museum’s unique speakeasy bar. Ten points if you can spot the hidden room…

The world-famous Cirque du Soleil performances are another must for any visitor – and why not pay homage to British culture by seeing The Beatles LOVE show at The Mirage?

The show features acrobatic dancing and vibrant colours set to songs from The Beatles.

World class aerialists and acrobats will leave you in awe, while you can’t help but (quietly) sing along to Hey Jude.

Finish off your night by visiting one of Las Vegas’ bars or lounges. The city loves a cocktail – at any time of day – so head over to Corduroy in Downtown Las Vegas for a mojito or espresso martini.

Of course, wandering down Downtown Las Vegas will overwhelm you with options for a quick drink or bite to eat.

For pizza, you certainly won’t leave hungry at Eval Pie – they have as bigger pizza slices as you’ll find anywhere.

If you’re more of a steak person, try the Triple George Grill across the way.

Food is certainly one of the best aspects of Las Vegas, and it’s best to try lots of different types of restaurant to make the most of your trip.

Aside from the bright lights and never-ending slot machines, everyone should try and see the Life Is Beautiful music and arts festival.

The annual festival brings people from all different backgrounds together for three nights.

There’s artwork, giant murals, comedy, food and, of course, music.

It’s exactly what it says it is, a festival of life. Everyone and everything in a small area of Downtown Las Vegas.

The atmosphere in itself is worth crossing the Atlantic for, and seeing Bastille, The Weeknd and Florence and the Machine is a (pretty amazing) added bonus.
